The actor is gearing up for the release of his first Gujarati film, Firki, which is set to hit cinemas on September 18, 2026, and during his recent visit to a Ganpati pandal with wife Ishita Dutta, he revealed that the film was very much on his mind. Speaking about what he asked from Bappa, Vatsal said, “This time, I’ve prayed for my film Firki—which is releasing tomorrow—since it’s my first Gujarati movie. So, I’m very excited. I’ve simply asked Baba to ensure the film does well.”

Describing the idol and the atmosphere around the pandal, he said, “The idol is so beautiful—words really can't do it justice. It’s a feeling you get when you come here to the pandal for darshan; there is a unique energy that is hard to put into words. But you really should come here, seek darshan, and receive Baba's blessings.” His words captured the deeply personal and emotional side of the festival for the actor.
The visit also gave Vatsal and Ishita an opportunity to talk about their professional equation. For instance, we wanted to come last year but couldn't, yet that was okay; we offered our prayers at home with full devotion. But this time, we got the chance to visit in person,” he shared.
