Rise & Fall Season 2 is gearing up to premiere on September 26, 2026, and the makers have now dropped the much-awaited trailer, offering a glimpse into a world where luxury, survival and power are constantly at war. Hosted by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, the reality show will stream for free on Prime Video and MX Player, bringing a fresh batch of contestants into a game where one wrong move can send them crashing down.
MX Player by Prime Video shared the trailer on social media with the caption, “26 Sept se maza toh bahut aayega, Watch #RiseAndFallS2, on Prime Video and MX Player, for free.” The trailer promises plenty of drama, strategy, rivalries and unexpected power shifts as 15 celebrities enter a social experiment designed to test not just their personalities but also their ability to survive when control over the game can change in an instant.
At the centre of Rise & Fall Season 2 is a simple but ruthless concept: contestants are divided into two groups — Rulers and Workers. The Rulers get to enjoy the luxury of a penthouse, with access to resources and the authority to make crucial decisions. Meanwhile, the Workers are sent to the basement, where they have to survive with limited resources while completing demanding challenges and fighting to avoid elimination.
But the hierarchy is never permanent. The ultimate goal for every Worker is to Rise from the Basement to the Penthouse and become a Ruler. At the same time, those already sitting comfortably in the Penthouse have to constantly protect their position because one wrong decision or shift in power could result in a Fall back to the Basement, instantly making them vulnerable to elimination. The biggest catch? Only a Ruler can win the show.
The format gives the contestants plenty of reasons to strategise, form alliances and make difficult choices. The Lift serves as the physical and symbolic connection between the Basement and Penthouse, representing the dramatic movement between power and vulnerability. Meanwhile, the Red Room is where the Rulers make some of the game’s most important decisions, with their choices capable of changing the fate of multiple contestants.
Then there is the Factory, the rugged and flexible arena where the contestants will face some of the season’s biggest challenges. These tasks are not simply about physical strength or performance; they can determine who gets an opportunity to rise, who retains power and who suddenly finds themselves staring at elimination. With resources, positions and loyalties constantly shifting, every challenge could potentially change the entire balance of the house.
The second season features 15 celebrity contestants, including Swara Bhasker, Karan Patel, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Shehzad Poonawalla, among others. With personalities from different backgrounds entering the same high-pressure environment, the show is expected to bring plenty of contrasting opinions, alliances, clashes and unexpected friendships. The season will run for 42 days, giving contestants plenty of time to establish themselves — or completely lose their grip on the game.
With Virender Sehwag as the host, Rise & Fall Season 2 also brings a fresh energy to the format. Known for his candid personality and sharp sense of humour, Sehwag will preside over a game where every rise comes with the possibility of a fall.
