Palak Tiwari is all set to grace the big screen once again in the upcoming action-thriller Romeo S3, slated for release on 16 May 2025. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa, the film promises a gripping narrative and dynamic characters. Palak plays a journalist in the film—one that’s far from conventional.
Speaking about how she landed the role, Palak shared, “I did audition for it once. I’m very grateful that Guddu sir picked me.” Her excitement about being directed by a veteran like Guddu Dhanoa is evident. “To be directed by somebody as iconic as Guddu sir—it’s everybody’s dream.”
Describing her character, she said, “I got to play a part in the film where the female character is so well written. She truly does play a part; she’s not just a flower pot.” Her portrayal moves away from stereotypical depictions and brings depth to the female lead.
Palak further elaborates on the complexity of her role: “She’s not your typical textbook journalist. Her way of doing things is very anomalous. She does her own work, her approach is very different—but it works.”
Explaining how she prepared for the role, she added, “For me, I just needed to bring something that you generally don’t associate with journalism. If you look at her in the first half, you feel she lacks something, but she is very aware, she’s a very calculated person. It’s that duality that every girl has to herself. So more than research, it was about tapping into that side of yourself. It was fun.”
On whether she had considered a different career path, Palak candidly said, “Apart from acting, I never considered a plan B. I'm not good at anything else, I don’t know anything else.There’s literally nothing else I would have done. I’d probably be on the road."
