Just when fans were still catching their breath from the emotionally charged finale of Panchayat Season 4, Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that Season 5 is officially in the works — and it’s coming in 2026. The announcement has reignited excitement among fans who’ve grown deeply attached to the humble village of Phulera and its quirky, endearing residents.

In a surprising tonal shift from the previous season’s heavy political and emotional undercurrents, the poster for Panchayat Season 5 shows the cast beaming with joy. Front and center is Sunita Rajwar’s Kranti Devi — now Phulera’s newly elected head — leading the pack. Neena Gupta’s Manju Devi stands at the end, holding a familiar prop that has now become iconic: a lauki (bottle gourd).

Amazon Prime’s playful caption alongside the poster read, “Hi 5! Phulera wapas aane ki taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye.” It was a subtle yet exciting nod to the show's return, promising another heartfelt journey filled with laughter, twists, and strong storytelling.

Season 4 was anything but predictable. In a stunning upset, Kranti Devi won the village elections, dethroning Manju Devi and shaking the core of Phulera’s political balance. Pradhan Ji, played by Raghubir Yadav, was devastated by the loss and emotionally unravelled.

Meanwhile, Sachiv Ji (Jitendra Kumar) achieved a major personal milestone by cracking his CAT exam, all while growing closer to Rinki (Sanvikaa), suggesting a promising romantic arc alongside his professional aspirations. The season closed with fans desperate to know what’s next — for Phulera, for governance, and for love.

With the leadership baton now in Kranti Devi’s hands, Season 5 is expected to explore how power changes Phulera — and those who hold it. Will Kranti Devi bring progress or fall into the same traps of rural politics? How will Manju Devi and Pradhan Ji cope with their fall from power? And will Sachiv Ji choose love over ambition, or can he have both?

The beloved ensemble cast is all set to return. Jitendra Kumar will reprise his role as Abhishek Tripathi (Sachiv Ji), alongside Neena Gupta (Manju Devi), Raghubir Yadav (Pradhan Ji), Chandan Roy (Vikas), Faisal Malik (Prahlad), and Sanvikaa (Rinki).

Supporting characters like Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha will also return. Behind the camera, the series continues with its original creative powerhouse: Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar. Season 5 will be directed by Akshat Vijaywargiya and Mishra himself.

Panchayat has come a long way since its debut in 2018. With Season 4 reportedly streamed in over 180 countries, it’s safe to say that Phulera’s story has touched hearts far beyond India. Its appeal lies in its simplicity — a slice-of-life narrative rich in culture, humor, and human emotion.

The countdown has begun. With its loyal cast, thoughtful creators, and millions of fans across the globe, Panchayat Season 5 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. Until then, “taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye” — Phulera is calling you back.
