Rocking Star Yash made a striking appearance at the grand Ramayana premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, turning the international event into a proud moment for Indian cinema. Accompanied by his wife, Radhika Pandit, the actor walked the red carpet alongside director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra and co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. As Yash arrived, enthusiastic fans welcomed him with loud chants of his name, creating an electric atmosphere. The premiere brought together the film’s principal cast and creative team to celebrate an ambitious cinematic adaptation of one of India’s most cherished epics on a global platform.

However, the evening was about much more than red-carpet glamour. During the event, Yash spoke passionately about the cultural significance of Ramayana and the opportunity to introduce its timeless message to audiences around the world. Before the actor addressed the gathering, producer Namit Malhotra acknowledged his contribution to the project, highlighting their partnership beyond the film’s on-screen performances. “Yash is not just the superstar of the film, but he’s also my producing partner,” Malhotra said, recalling how Yash’s conviction and his own vision helped bring their collaboration together. Yash is associated with the project through his production banner, Monster Mind Creations, making his involvement an important part of the film’s larger creative journey.

Taking the stage to enthusiastic applause, Yash began his address by greeting the audience in Kannada, proudly acknowledging his roots before reflecting on his journey in cinema. One of his most memorable statements captured the spirit of the occasion: “Where you start can never define how far you can go.” The line resonated with the larger story of his career, from his beginnings in the Kannada film industry to becoming a recognised name among audiences across India and beyond. Expressing pride in his identity, the actor said, “Today, I’m proud being a member of the Kannada film industry, the Indian film industry, telling our story, which is not just a story.” His words underlined the importance of representing Indian cinema on an international stage without losing touch with its cultural roots.

Yash also spoke about why Ramayana holds a special place in Indian storytelling. Rather than treating it as just another narrative being adapted for the screen, he described the epic as a living tradition that has travelled across generations. “In our country, we just don’t tell the story—we remember it, and we pass it down for generations to come. And this story has travelled for thousands of years,” he said. His remarks highlighted the enduring place of the epic in India's cultural imagination, where its characters, values and lessons continue to inspire different generations. For the team behind the film, bringing such a familiar story to the big screen presents an opportunity to connect with audiences who already know its legacy while introducing its themes to viewers around the world.

Emphasising the international ambition behind the project, Yash expressed hope that the film would communicate the richness of Indian heritage to a global audience. “We are proud to present this story to the world,” he said, adding that he hoped the epic would convey the message and cultural values India has to offer. He concluded his address with a simple invitation to the audience: “Let’s celebrate Ramayana. Thank you.” The speech reflected the film’s broader vision of combining large-scale cinematic storytelling with a narrative that has remained relevant for centuries. The warm reception at the Los Angeles premiere also highlighted the interest surrounding the project and its ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic, with Yash playing a pivotal role in the ambitious production. His dual association as an actor and producing partner adds another dimension to his involvement in the film. With its international promotional efforts, prominent cast and large-scale presentation, the project aims to bring a deeply rooted Indian story to cinema audiences worldwide. Ramayana is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026. As anticipation builds, Yash’s message at the Los Angeles premiere has offered a glimpse into the pride and purpose driving the film: celebrating a timeless Indian epic while taking its story to a new generation of global viewers.
