Prime Video India has officially unveiled the high-voltage trailer for The Traitors Season 2, promising another thrilling battle of lies, alliances, and betrayal. Sharing the promo on social media, the streaming platform wrote, "the game is set… trust… if you dare. #TheTraitorsOnPrime. New Season with New Episodes Every Thursday, Aug 13." Hosted once again by Karan Johar, the reality series returns with a fresh lineup of celebrity contestants and even higher stakes.
The nearly three-minute trailer is packed with dramatic confrontations, emotional breakdowns, shocking accusations, and unpredictable twists as contestants try to separate the "Innocents" from the hidden "Traitors." Set inside the majestic Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, the lavish setting once again becomes the battleground where trust is constantly tested and every alliance could be a trap.
Season 2 features 21 celebrity contestants from the worlds of television, music, digital entertainment, and social media. The lineup includes Munawar Faruqui, Mallika Sherawat, Shweta Tiwari, Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D'Souza, Ranveer Brar, Abhishek Malhan (Fukraa Insaan), Dalip Tahil, Ikka Singh, Parul Gulati, Soundous Moufakir, Shalini Passi, Shahneel Gill, Rida Tharana, Sahil Salathia, Tanya Puri, Aaditya Kulshreshth (Kullu), Ansh Chopra, Harman Singha, Karan Singh Magic, and Prish.
Adding a fresh twist this season is the introduction of a mysterious new character named Boo, who is described as the messenger of "Buri Khabar" (bad news). While the core format remains unchanged, Boo's arrival is expected to shake up the game with unexpected announcements and dramatic turns that could alter the fate of the contestants.
Based on the globally acclaimed BAFTA and Emmy-winning format, The Traitors follows a group of contestants secretly divided into Innocents and Traitors. While the Innocents attempt to identify and eliminate the hidden Traitors, the Traitors quietly eliminate players from within, making deception, manipulation, and strategy the key to survival. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the Indian adaptation quickly gained popularity after its debut season.
