The director marked the 14th anniversary of the 2012 film with a special post, expressing gratitude to Kareena Kapoor Khan and the entire cast and crew for bringing his ambitious drama to life.
Sharing a video montage featuring posters, memorable song moments and dramatic scenes from the film, Bhandarkar wrote, “Today marks the 14th anniversary of film #Heroine, a film that dared to explore the complex & gritty reality of the entertainment industry.” He also shared behind-the-scenes photographs with Kareena from the sets, giving fans a glimpse into the making of the film.
At the heart of Heroine was Kareena Kapoor Khan, who played Mahi Arora, a successful but emotionally turbulent film actress navigating the highs and lows of fame.
