Television actress Ashnoor Kaur had nothing but praise for comedian Jamie Lever after attending The Jamie Lever Show. Calling it one of the most enjoyable live experiences she's had, Ashnoor lauded Jamie for creating a wholesome family entertainer while also revealing that she is currently taking a break from television to focus on bigger projects, with announcements expected later this year.
Sharing her experience after the show, Ashnoor couldn't stop raving about Jamie's performance and the atmosphere she created on stage. "It was superb; truly fabulous, I must say. And the fact that it was a family-friendly show yet so much fun—there wasn't a single moment where one felt bored. I had a great time, and my dad enjoyed it immensely too," she said.
The actress revealed that although she and Jamie have only recently become friends, this was the first time she had watched her perform live. "This was my first time attending one of Jamie's shows—we've only recently become friends—but she was amazing; she is such a talented girl," Ashnoor shared.
She admitted she was pleasantly surprised to discover another side of Jamie's talent. "The way the story was presented, the comedy... and she sings so well, too. I was pleasantly surprised to see what a lovely singer she is."
Asked what impressed her the most, Ashnoor said it was Jamie's effortless ability to switch between multiple skills during the performance. "I think the best part was how effortlessly Jamie does it all—whether it's singing, mimicry, performing, or engaging the audience; she handles it all so seamlessly."
Ashnoor also praised Jamie for creating her own identity despite coming from one of Bollywood's most celebrated comedy families. "The way Jamie has carved out her own niche and identity in this industry is impressive. Even though she is Johnny Sir's daughter, she has established her own identity. It's wonderful—while she proudly acknowledges being his daughter, the fact that she has created her own space in an industry like ours is truly commendable."
The conversation also shifted towards Ashnoor's own career. While fans have been eagerly waiting to see her return to television, the actress hinted that she has different plans. "I'm taking a bit of a break from TV right now, even though I know many people and audience members would love to see me on their screens. But I hope the things I'm working on right now will excite them a lot more."
Without revealing too much, she teased major announcements in the coming months. "We'll probably make announcements towards the end of the year—whether it's OTT or theatrical releases, you'll find out soon," she said with a smile.
Ashnoor further revealed that her upcoming project requires extensive preparation, which is why audiences have not seen her take up television or music videos recently.
"I'm working on a project that requires some time—there is a lot of preparatory work involved. Since I'm not doing TV shows, music albums, or anything else that would be released immediately, it might take a while; but I'm sure it will be worth the wait."
While keeping details under wraps, Ashnoor's comments suggest that fans can expect a fresh chapter in her career, potentially on OTT platforms or the big screen.
