Actor Gautami Kapoor is proudly cheering for husband Ram Kapoor as he continues to make waves inside Lock Upp 2. During her appearance at the launch of Aza in Bandra, Gautami opened up about Ram's strategy in the reality show, describing his gameplay as intelligent and well thought out. While interacting with the media, she also spoke about meeting Ram on the sets, her loyal fan base, and the changing landscape of the entertainment industry.
Asked about Ram Kapoor's performance in Lock Upp 2, Gautami had nothing but praise for the actor's strategic approach. She said, “His game is excellent. He’s playing strategically, using his mind, and people are only just beginning to understand his tactics. I think some people are quite upset about it, but he’s playing wonderfully. I wish him all the best. I hope he wins.” Her wholehearted support comes as Ram continues to emerge as one of the most talked-about contestants on the reality show.
Speaking about seeing her husband after a long gap during the show's shoot, Gautami admitted it was an emotional moment. “Yes, I have met them. It was very emotional,” she shared. When asked about the evolving relationship between actors and audiences in the OTT era, she reflected on how grateful she feels for the continued love from fans. “Having an audience is what matters most; for an actor, nothing else is really needed. We have our fans—we still do—and we feel truly blessed.”
The actress was also asked about her future projects following her performances in Bads of Bollywood and Special Ops. While she remained tight-lipped about what's next, Gautami teased that audiences can expect something exciting. “Regarding my upcoming project... I don't want to talk too much about it because it would spoil the surprise. So, I'll stay quiet on that.” Looking back on her journey in the industry since 1999, she acknowledged how much the entertainment landscape has changed over the years. “If I started talking about all the changes, the whole evening would fly by. But the changes have been for the better. I think there is plenty of work for all kinds of people—different age groups and different looks. Everything is inclusive now, and I think that’s amazing.”
Gautami also had encouraging words for fellow Lock Upp 2 contestant Shreya Kalra, appreciating her performance in the competition. “She is playing a fabulous game too. I wish her the best as well,” she said. With Ram Kapoor receiving unwavering support from his wife and continuing to impress viewers with his calculated gameplay, the race for the Lock Upp 2 trophy is only getting more exciting.
