Just like her on-screen character Aarohi, Esha describes herself as a true-blue “Marathi mulgi” who has grown up soaking in the infectious spirit of Krishna Janmashtami. From dancing dhol beats to street-side Dahi Handi pyramids, the festival has always brought her unmatched joy.
In her own words, Janmashtami holds a "unique symphony"—one she hears in the chorus of bhajans and the laughter of kids mimicking little Krishna. “Watching the Dahi Handi felt like watching an adventure film live,” she laughs. But beyond the festivities, Esha also finds deep meaning in Krishna’s teachings—lessons of compassion, love, and playful wisdom that, she says, are more relevant now than ever.
This year is extra special for Esha as she celebrates her debut in COLORS’ Manpasand Ki Shaadi. “With Kanha’s blessings and the audience’s love, my first show feels like the perfect Janmashtami gift,” she beams. The streets may be lit up for Krishna’s birthday, but Esha’s heart is glowing for her personal milestone too.
