Janmashtami is all about divine joy, devotion, and celebrating the many leelas of Lord Krishna—and for Debina Bonnerjee, this year, it became a soul-stirring family affair. The actress, who’s currently seen in Pati Patni Aur Panga on COLORS, shared how her recent spiritual getaway to Mathura and Vrindavan with her husband and kids has added a deeper meaning to her festive mood.
“We stayed in Vrindavan, heard the chants of ‘Hare Krishna Hare Rama’ echoing through the streets, and performed the Julan Seva at the majestic Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir,” Debina shared. It wasn’t just a holiday—it was a spiritual recharge, made even more special by the presence of her little ones, who experienced the vibrant culture and devotion of Krishna’s birthplace for the very first time.
Among the highlights of the trip was meeting Premanand Maharaj ji and visiting the sacred Bankey Bihari temple—moments that Debina described as “a lifetime of blessings in one visit.” Having grown up with a strong sense of spirituality, she said this trip felt like a full-circle moment—where devotion met motherhood in the most heartwarming way.
And now, she’s bringing all that energy straight back to work. “I feel super energised by this soulful trip and I’m carrying that energy straight onto the sets of Pati Patni Aur Panga,” she added with a smile. Her Janmashtami message? Simple and sweet: “Here’s praying for the best for everyone.”
As the festival approaches, Debina’s blend of devotion, family time, and festive spirit gives us all the right feels—and reminds us that sometimes, the most powerful celebrations are the ones that start in the heart.
