The web just got darker. Prime Video has unveiled the first-look trailer for Spider-Noir, a live-action Marvel series that reimagines the iconic wall-crawler in shadowy 1930s New York. Inspired by the 2009 comic Spider-Man: Noir, the show expands the cult-favorite alternate universe first glimpsed in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse — but this time, it’s full noir, fully live-action, and dripping with grit.

Leading the charge is Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly / The Spider — an aging, world-weary private investigator haunted by a personal tragedy that forced him to hang up the mask years ago. Now, in a crime-ridden Manhattan ruled by mob bosses and corruption, he’s pulled back into action. Cage, who previously voiced the character in animation, looks right at home in the trench coat and fedora, delivering a brooding, hard-boiled performance that feels ripped straight from a pulp detective novel.

The supporting cast adds serious intrigue. Lamorne Morris plays Robbie Robertson, while Li Jun Li takes on Cat Hardy. Heavyweight Brendan Gleeson steps into the role of mob boss Silvermane, promising a formidable on-screen presence. With additional performances from Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, and Jack Huston, the ensemble rounds out a series that feels both character-driven and cinematically ambitious.

Created and developed by Oren Uziel, alongside Steve Lightfoot and producing powerhouses Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the show blends superhero mythology with detective noir aesthetics. Directed by Harry Bradbeer, the series will stream in both black-and-white and color versions — a bold stylistic move that doubles down on its vintage crime vibe.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Pascal Pictures, and Amazon MGM Studios, Spider-Noir premieres May 27, 2026. If the trailer is anything to go by, this isn’t just another superhero show — it’s a smoky, slow-burn crime saga with a web-slinging edge. And yes, it looks very, very good.
