The trailer of Vibe is finally here, and it looks like Kunal Kemmu is ready to serve audiences a little bit of everything. Tips Films & Music unveiled the official trailer on September 2, teasing a colourful mix of comedy, romance and action. Starring Kunal Kemmu, Preity G Zinta and Laapataa Ladies fame Sparsh Shrivastava, the film is set to hit cinemas on September 18, 2026.
The trailer introduces audiences to two ordinary and rather clueless friends, Hardik and Bugs, whose lives take an unexpected turn when they accidentally find themselves caught in the middle of a massive terrorist conspiracy. They are hardly the sort of people anyone would pick for a dangerous national mission, but circumstances leave them with little choice. Before long, the two unlikely heroes are pushed into becoming accidental agents, with the fate of the country suddenly resting on their shoulders.
Adding to the madness is Preity G Zinta, who makes her much-awaited return to the big screen in a key role. Her character appears to be the commanding force guiding Hardik and Bugs through their impossible mission, creating an interesting contrast with the duo’s obvious lack of preparation. The trailer gives glimpses of Preity in a more action-oriented avatar while also allowing her comic timing and screen presence to shine through.
Kunal Kemmu not only headlines the film but has also written, directed and co-produced it under his banner Drongo Films. After making an impressive directorial debut with Madgaon Express in 2024, Kemmu is taking a completely different route with Vibe. While his first film was rooted in friendship and situational comedy, his latest outing expands the canvas with espionage-style action, romance and a much bigger national stakes storyline.
The film also brings together an interesting supporting cast. Sparsh Shrivastava, who won plenty of attention for his performance in Laapataa Ladies, joins the adventure, while Vanshika Dhir makes her debut. Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, and Yashpal Sharma are also part of the ensemble. The combination of experienced performers and younger talent gives Vibe an energetic mix that fits the film’s deliberately chaotic tone.
The makers themselves have summed up the trailer with a simple promise: “Comedy. Yes. Romance. Yes. Action. Yes. VIBE. Absolutely!” And the trailer certainly appears to embrace that philosophy without hesitation. One moment brings laughs, the next moves into romance, before the story quickly shifts into explosions, danger and high-stakes action. The film seems determined not to take itself too seriously while still delivering the thrills expected from a commercial entertainer.
Backing the project are Amazon MGM Studios, Tips and PVR Pictures, with Tips also handling the film’s music. The production gives Kemmu the opportunity to build on the momentum of Madgaon Express while presenting audiences with a completely new world. For Preity Zinta, Vibe marks an especially exciting return to the big screen, while for Kunal Kemmu it represents his second directorial venture and another chance to establish himself behind the camera.
