Actress Shreya Gupto, who will be seen in forthcoming series Blue Tick said social media is a bubble, which eventually bursts, one needs to have a good mental health above followers.
Sherya Gupto was interacting with the media on the side lines of Blue Tick special screening in Mumbai last night.
Talking about her role in the series, Shreya said, “I am playing Ritu, and she is the manager of Pallavi as well as best friend. In this series, you will see when cracks start to appear between personal and professional life due to social media, you know, how likes, following, and commenting bubble, effects a relationship.”
“Every day I used to remind myself that this bubble of social media, which has followings, likes, comment and stuff, it’s just a bubble, it will burst, you must stay real and authentic, this is something one needs to remind themselves every day in 21st century” added Shreya.
Addressing the importance of internet, and drawing a line, Shreya said, “Internet, it is a good source to showcase your talent, but when you go overboard and you are looking at the numbers, likes, comments, and followers very consciously, it will affect your mental state, and me being an content creator as well, I know it affects your mental health, having said that, you can pursue your career, become a creator and make money, but take care of your mental health.”
Directed by Shubham Singh and written by Tarun Rajput, the show ‘Blue Tick', also stars Siddharth Nigam, Parul Gulati, Neeraj Sood, Neelu Singh, among others.
The series is produced by Folklore Film Studios, slated to stream from 19th July on Epic On!.
