Veteran actor Nana Patekar once again proved why he’s a crowd favorite—not just for his acting chops but also for his candid and no-nonsense personality. At the trailer launch of the much-awaited comedy thriller Housefull 5, Nana left the audience in splits when he humorously interrupted a reporter speaking in English, quipping in his signature style, “Hindi mein bol, Angrezi nahi aati” (Speak in Hindi, I don’t know English). The crowd erupted with laughter and applause, and the clip has since gone viral on social media.
The spontaneous moment captured the essence of Nana's grounded persona and added an unexpected layer of entertainment to the promotional event. While light-hearted, his remark also resonated with many viewers online who appreciated the call to communicate in a language more widely understood by the Indian audience.
Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani and co-written with a team of comedy veterans, marks the fifth installment in one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchises. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Warda Nadiadwala, and Firuzi Khan under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner, the film brings back the signature chaos, confusion, and comedy that the series is known for—this time with a bigger ensemble and a thriller twist.
The star-studded cast features a mix of returning favorites and new additions, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever.
Slated for a June 6, 2025 release, Housefull 5 promises to be a laugh riot with unexpected twists, grand sets, and outrageous situations. And if Nana’s moment at the trailer launch is anything to go by, audiences can expect plenty of memorable one-liners both on and off the screen.
