The OG Mirzapur squad is back together, and Mumbai's paparazzi got a front row glimpse of the reunion. Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Harshita Gaur were spotted together in Bandra as the cast of Mirzapur: The Film came together for promotional activities and the trailer launch of the highly anticipated big screen adaptation.

The reunion instantly brought back memories of the characters who became fan favourites through the hit Mirzapur series. Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Pandit, was seen alongside Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta, Shriya Pilgaonkar as Sweety Gupta and Harshita Gaur as Dimpy Pandit. The group appeared relaxed and cheerful as they interacted with the paparazzi, giving fans plenty to smile about ahead of the film's theatrical release.

While Shriya Pilgaonkar happily stopped to pose solo for the cameras, Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal and Shweta Tripathi were seen sharing candid moments and laughing together. The easy camaraderie between the actors was hard to miss, and the reunion offered a fun contrast to the intense rivalries and betrayals that define their characters inside the Mirzapur universe.

For fans, however, Shriya's presence comes with an extra dose of curiosity. Her character Sweety Gupta met a dramatic fate in the first season of the series, making her appearance alongside the original cast particularly intriguing. Her return has already sparked speculation about whether audiences could see the character through flashbacks, previously unseen moments or a major twist in the film.

The appearance also highlights just how much the Mirzapur franchise has grown since its streaming debut. What started as a gritty crime drama on a streaming platform is now making the jump to cinemas, bringing several of its most recognisable characters with it. The reunion of the OG cast is therefore more than just a promotional appearance — it is a reminder of the enormous journey the franchise has taken.

Ali Fazal's Guddu Pandit remains one of the central figures in the Mirzapur story, while Rasika Dugal's Beena Tripathi has developed into one of its most unpredictable characters. Shweta Tripathi's Golu Gupta has also become a major force in the narrative, while Harshita Gaur's Dimpy Pandit remains an important connection to Guddu's family story. Seeing these characters' performers together again is naturally creating plenty of excitement.

The transition from streaming to the big screen also raises the stakes considerably. Mirzapur has always been known for its brutal power struggles, dark humour, family drama and unexpected twists. With the film format offering a larger canvas, fans are now wondering how the creators will expand the world and whether the cinematic chapter will deliver the same raw energy that made the series such a phenomenon.

The team is currently ramping up promotions ahead of the theatrical release of Mirzapur: The Film, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 4, 2026. With the trailer launch bringing together several key members of the cast, anticipation is only getting stronger.

For the actors, the Bandra reunion looked like a cheerful get together. For fans, though, it was a reminder that the Mirzapur madness is returning — this time with a much bigger screen. And if the smiles, camaraderie and mystery surrounding some of the returning characters are anything to go by, the film may have a few surprises waiting when Guddu, Golu and the rest of the gang finally arrive in theatres.
