At the recent trailer launch of the highly anticipated crime thriller The Buckingham Murders, Ektaa Kapoor, one of Bollywood's leading producers, shared her insights into her ongoing collaboration with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The event showcased not only the film’s trailer but also highlighted the deep professional relationship between Kapoor and the acclaimed actress.
Ektaa Kapoor, who has worked with Kareena Kapoor Khan on four films, expressed her admiration for the actress's multifaceted talents. “I have worked with Kareena on four films now. She is not only a star but also a great actor,” Kapoor said. “I thought we had a woman with stature and power. Stories cannot be brought out in public in a medium that is run totally by men. We need to use our intelligence to make it commercial at the same time, supporting it with a great actor and great star.”
Kapoor’s comments underscore her belief in the importance of strong female representation in the film industry. She elaborated on how Kareena’s involvement was crucial to the film’s success. “The only name who is as brave and legitimate as far as stardom goes is Kareena. We approached her, and I had said this film would be made if she would say yes. She came on board as an actor and a producer.”

'The Buckingham Murders' is slated for a theatrical release on September 13, 2024.
