After years of anticipation and public curiosity, Aryan Khan — the son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has officially stepped into the limelight, but not in front of the camera. Instead, he’s made his directorial and writing debut with The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a bold and unfiltered web series set in the chaotic, shadowy corridors of the Hindi film industry.
Directed and co-written by Aryan Khan, the show has been in the making throughout 2023 and 2024, and now finally unveils a raw, edgy narrative packed with unpredictable energy and layered storytelling. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series stars a powerhouse ensemble including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Gautami Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, and Vijayant Kohli.
At the preview event of the show, Shah Rukh Khan reflecting on Aryan’s concept and execution shared: "When Aryan told me he was creating a show on Bollywood — raw, edgy, full of madness — for a moment I thought, ‘Is he tapping into Mannat’s CCTV footage?’ But then I realized he was actually bringing something fresh and unique to the table.
I’ll be honest — it took me a little while to get used to the tone of the show. But once I caught onto it, I was completely drawn in. I’m genuinely happy, not just about the show, but also about the ensemble cast that has come together, and the story itself. Because ultimately, it’s the characters that breathe life into a story.
In Hindi we say, ‘Sabki bahut hi faadu performances hain’ — every performance is absolutely explosive."
He continued, shifting into a tone both grateful and emotional: "Am I happy? No… not worried, not anxious — I’m deeply grateful.
