The musical excitement surrounding Emraan Hashmi's upcoming romantic-action entertainer Gunmaaster G9 continues to grow as the makers have unveiled the film's third song, Dard-e-Dil Dard-e-Jigar. Composed by Himesh Reshammiya, the romantic number brings back the familiar flavour of soulful melodies that have long been associated with Emraan Hashmi's films. Featuring the voices of Himesh Reshammiya and Akasa Singh, the track adds another musical highlight to the film's growing promotional campaign ahead of its theatrical release on November 27, 2026.
Following the chartbuster Afsaana Banaaya Aapne and the romance-filled Do Din Ki Zindagi, the latest song promises to take listeners on another emotional musical journey. Himesh Reshammiya has composed the track and shared vocal duties with Akasa Singh, while the lyrics have been penned by Sonia Kapoor Reshammiya. The combination of Himesh's distinctive musical style and Akasa's voice gives the song its romantic appeal, making it an interesting addition to the film's soundtrack.
The music video features Emraan Hashmi and Genelia Deshmukh in romantic sequences filled with candlelit moments and metro train visuals. Their chemistry brings a nostalgic romantic touch to the song, while the visuals capture the emotional mood of the composition. For Emraan Hashmi fans, the track is particularly interesting as it brings back memories of his earlier romantic musical hits, which played a significant role in establishing his image as one of Bollywood's popular romantic heroes.
Gunmaaster G9 also marks an exciting reunion between Emraan Hashmi, director Aditya Datt and music composer Himesh Reshammiya, nearly two decades after their association with the 2005 film Aashiq Banaya Aapne. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Genelia Deshmukh, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Singh alongside Emraan. Directed by Aditya Datt, the romantic-action entertainer aims to combine romance, music and action into an engaging theatrical experience.
Produced by Deepak Mukut, Sangeeta Ahir and Hunar Mukut, Gunmaaster G9 is presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd and is an SRE Studio LLP production. With three songs now part of its promotional journey, the makers are steadily building anticipation around the film. Himesh Reshammiya's music remains an important part of the campaign, with each release offering audiences another glimpse into the romantic world of the film.
Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026, Gunmaaster G9 is looking to bring together nostalgia and fresh entertainment for Bollywood audiences. The reunion of Emraan Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiya, combined with the addition of Genelia Deshmukh and Aditya Datt, has certainly made the project one to watch. With Dard-e-Dil Dard-e-Jigar now out, fans can enjoy another dose of romance and melody while waiting to experience the film on the big screen.
