Netflix drops the official teaser-trailer for Badland Hunters, a dystopian action film directed by Heo Myung-haeng in his directorial debut.
The film stars Ma Dong-Seok (Don Lee), Lee Hee-Joon, Lee Jun-Young and Roh Jeong-Eui, the film is a sequel of 2023 film Concrete Utopia and takes up the story post-earthquake transformation of Seoul into an apocalyptic wasteland, where everything from law and order to civilization has collapsed.
The official handle of Netflix shared the teaser-trailer on social media, it said, “Don Lee (Train to Busan, Eternals) kicking ass in the dystopian badlands. Yes please. Badland Hunters premieres January 26.”
The teaser offers a passing but promising glimpse at what appears to be a gory but fun disaster thriller. Give Don Lee a suitable premise, and he will chop massive, raging crocodiles like he was born to do it or had been trained in a specialised culinary school for it.
The film is an original production of Netflix and will be available for streaming on Netflix on January 26, 2024.
