Actor Aparshakti Khurana recently shared his heartfelt appreciation for legendary filmmaker Subhash Ghai, highlighting the importance of recognizing the true heroes behind a film—the writer and director. During an event, he emphasized the significance of giving these creators the respect they deserve.
Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai organized an interactive session with the team of Stree 2, including Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, Amar Kaushik and Niren Bhatt, following the success of the film.
Khurana pointed out that the success of films like Stree 2, which has grossed over 500 crores at the box office, represents a paradigm shift in the industry. He noted that while box office numbers are impressive, the real change lies in how writers and directors are increasingly being invited to share their insights with large audiences.
He said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Subhash Ghai, because he invited the real heroes of the film, the writer and the director, and discuss the film they made and gave them their due respect, that is the most important thing. Be it a paradigm shift, that a film has done such massive numbers, Stree 2 has clocked 500 crore plus at box-office, that is one paradigm shift”
“But the second and most important paradigm shift is that writers and directors are invited to address a huge audience, and they are given their due respect because a film is their baby. I think that is most important” added Aparshakti.
Stree 2 also stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, and more. The narrative follows a group of friends who must defeat a malevolent entity abducting the women of Chanderi.
