Ahan Shetty and Medha Rana are reportedly coming together for an exciting new Bollywood project titled Sanki, an action-packed romantic entertainer that is already creating curiosity among movie lovers. According to the latest media reports, the film has gone on floors in Bhopal, with Medha joining Ahan and the production team for the first shooting schedule. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, known for films like Rustom and Mission Raniganj, the upcoming project is expected to combine intense action, romance and emotional drama. If the reports are accurate, Sanki could mark an interesting new chapter in the careers of both young actors.
Medha Rana is reportedly stepping into the project following her appearance in the much-talked-about film Border 2, where she shared screen space with Varun Dhawan. Her performance has brought her fresh attention, and the actress is said to have taken her time before finalising her next project. According to media reports, the narration of Sanki immediately appealed to her, as the film offers an opportunity to explore a character that demands more than just a conventional romantic performance. With action, emotional moments and a strong romantic angle reportedly forming the backbone of the story, the role could allow Medha to showcase a different side of her acting abilities.
Preparing for such a demanding character has apparently involved considerable effort behind the scenes. Reports suggest that Medha spent around two months attending workshops and undergoing physical training to get ready for the role. Given the film's action-oriented setup, the preparation is expected to help her handle the physical demands of the character while bringing authenticity to her performance. For an actress steadily building her presence in the industry, taking on a project that combines romance with action could be an important career move. Her pairing with Ahan is another reason audiences are keen to see how the film develops.
Interestingly, Sanki will also bring Ahan Shetty and Medha Rana together as a leading on-screen couple for the first time. Although both actors were previously part of the ensemble cast of Border 2, this upcoming film reportedly gives them an opportunity to explore a fresh pairing. Ahan, who made his Bollywood debut with Tadap, has been looking to strengthen his position with projects that offer scale and entertainment value. Sharing the screen with Medha in a full-fledged romantic action story could give audiences a new perspective on his screen presence. Their chemistry will be one of the key aspects to watch when the makers eventually reveal more about the film.
Behind the camera, Sanki brings together an interesting production team. The film is reportedly being produced by We The People, Roaring River Productions and Pals & Peers Entertainment, with Tinu Suresh Desai handling the direction. The filmmaker has previously explored intense subjects and dramatic storytelling through projects such as Rustom and Mission Raniganj. His association with an action-romance entertainer has therefore added another layer of curiosity to the project. While the makers have not yet revealed extensive details about the storyline, the combination of an emerging lead pair and an experienced director has already attracted attention.
According to the latest media reports, Sanki is being planned as a theatrical entertainer for 2027, with an official first look expected to be unveiled in the coming days. The Bhopal shooting schedule marks the beginning of the film's journey, and further updates about the cast, storyline and release plans are likely to generate more excitement. For now, the reported collaboration between Ahan Shetty and Medha Rana has given Bollywood fans something new to look forward to. With romance, action and emotional drama reportedly coming together, Sanki could be an interesting addition to the upcoming Hindi film lineup.
