Bollywood’s horror-comedy space is about to get a fresh jolt as Tamannaah Bhatia and Junaid Khan come together for Ragini 3, a gripping “date night horror” backed by Balaji Motion Pictures. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, known for helming Khoobsurat and Veere Di Wedding, the film promises thrills, humour, and edge-of-the-seat entertainment. With Sahir Raza continuing as the creative force behind the project, buzz around the film is already building.
Produced under Balaji Telefilms Ltd, Ragini 3 marks another intriguing addition to Balaji’s popular horror universe. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the “date night horror” tag hints at a clever blend of romance, jump scares, and situational comedy — a formula that has historically worked well for the banner. With Tamannaah and Junaid leading the charge, expectations are sky-high.
Tamannaah was last seen in Odela 2, a sequel to Odela Railway Station, centered around the fictional village protected by Odela Mallanna Swamy from dark forces. She will next appear in Vvan alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, Vvan is slated for a theatrical release on 15 May 2026 after a revised schedule. The film’s mystical forest backdrop and high-concept storytelling have already piqued audience curiosity.
Meanwhile, Junaid Khan continues carving his own path in the industry. The son of Aamir Khan, Junaid made his acting debut portraying social reformer Karsandas Mulji in Maharaj, based on the historic Maharaj Libel Case of 1862. In 2025, he starred opposite Khushi Kapoor in Loveyapa, a remake of the Tamil hit Love Today, and is next set to appear with Sai Pallavi in the Sapporo-set film Mere Raho.
With Ragini 3, Tamannaah and Junaid bring together glamour and freshness in a genre that thrives on unpredictability. If the makers deliver on the promise of scares and sparks, this date night horror could be the next big scream at the box office.
