Mumbai witnessed an inspiring evening of courage, candour and celebration as Women of Impact, a special edition of We The Women curated by senior journalist Barkha Dutt, unfolded on March 2, 2026. Positioned as a meaningful countdown to International Women’s Day, the invite-only gathering focused on “depth over decibels,” spotlighting women who are reshaping narratives across industries. The format blended powerful, no-holds-barred conversations with a curated cocktail soirée, creating a space that was both intimate and electric.
The cinema world was represented by stalwarts like Shabana Azmi and Bhumi Pednekar, who spoke about craft, conviction and carving space in a competitive industry. They were joined by personalities such as Ayesha Khan, Seema Sajdeh, Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor, and Bhavna Pandey — all adding their voices to conversations about reinvention, resilience, and relevance in the public eye.
Beyond cinema, the festival brought together achievers from diverse arenas. National record-holding hurdler Jyothi Yarraji represented sports with stories of discipline and determination. The armed forces were powerfully represented by Swathi Shanthakumar, Preeth Dsouza, and Har Raj Boparai, who shared insights into leadership and breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated spaces.
The arts and literature segment featured celebrated lyricist Javed Akhtar, spoken word artist Nayab Midha, and artist-educator Rouble Nagi, each emphasizing the transformative power of storytelling.
