Fans of courtroom comedy are in for another round of witty arguments and quirky legal drama as Maamla Legal Hai prepares to return with its second season. Led by actor Ravi Kishan, the series gained popularity for its humorous take on everyday legal cases set inside the lively Patparganj District Court. The new season promises more unusual cases, eccentric lawyers, and plenty of courtroom chaos.
The show is produced by Posham Pa Pictures and continues under the creative leadership of showrunner Sameer Saxena, with direction by Rahul Pandey. The writing team for the upcoming season includes Syed Shadan, Mohak Aneja and Tatsat Pandey, with Kunal leading the writers’ room to craft fresh legal antics and character arcs.
Speaking about returning to the show, Ravi Kishan shared that he is excited to step back into the world of the Patparganj courtroom. In a press note, the actor joked that he never imagined he would look forward to “going to court.” He also thanked audiences for the overwhelming love the first season received and hinted that his character, V.D. Tyagi, is determined to prove himself as a judge in the new chapter—though the journey will be far from easy.
Season 2 will continue exploring the personal and professional lives of Tyagi and the other lawyers navigating bizarre cases and unpredictable courtroom moments. The story will also dive deeper into the journeys of characters like Sujata, Ananya Shroff and Vishwas Pandey, adding new layers to the legal comedy’s evolving narrative.
The upcoming season also expands the cast, with Kusha Kapila and Dinesh Lal Yadav joining the show. Meanwhile, familiar faces including Nidhi Bisht, Naila Grewal, Anant Joshi and Anjum Batra will reprise their roles from the first season.
Viewers won’t have to wait long to return to the chaotic courtroom, as Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 will start streaming on Netflix from April 3. With its mix of satire, legal drama, and eccentric characters, the series aims to once again deliver a lighthearted look at the Indian justice system.
