Despite recent reports claiming veteran actor Prakash Raj had exited the highly anticipated film Spirit, the actor has set the record straight. Taking to his X profile, Raj wrote: "To all the toxic #Fakenews peddlers…. On #Spirit the movie. We have not even started shooting for my scenes .. and you whatsup factories speculate stories. Grow up and have a life. #justasking"
The clarification comes after entertainment outlets circulated false claims that Raj had left the project due to creative differences. He emphasized that filming for his portions hasn’t even started, debunking the rumors.
Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is a multilingual action thriller starring Prabhas in the lead role. The film also features Triptii Dimri as the female lead, Vivek Oberoi, and Kanchana. Earlier false reports included Deepika Padukone allegedly leaving the film and speculation about Chiranjeevi joining the cast.
Raj’s post highlights the rampant spread of misinformation in Indian cinema, often fueled by WhatsApp forwards, and urges fans to wait for official announcements.
The plot follows a brutal yet honest police officer (Prabhas) from a middle-class background whose personal life collides with his duty as he works to dismantle an international crime syndicate. With high-octane action sequences and pan-India appeal, Spirit is among the most anticipated releases of 2027.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 5, 2027, promising a blend of action, drama, and high-stakes storytelling for audiences across India and beyond.
