Bollywood actor and producer Kamaal R Khan (KRK) has been granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 25,000 after being arrested in connection with a firing incident in Mumbai’s Oshiwara area. The case, which grabbed headlines last week, has sparked debates over legality, evidence, and constitutional rights.

Supreme Court Advocate Sana Raees Khan, representing KRK, called the arrest “an abuse of the process of law.” She argued that KRK’s constitutional safeguards were completely ignored. “His arrest was carried out in an arbitrary manner, completely disregarding his constitutional safeguards, and definitely amounts to an abuse of the process of law. This case doesn’t even stand,” Sana said.

The advocate added that the allegations were bizarre and practically impossible. “A person whose name is not mentioned in the remand report claimed to have heard firing from my client’s building six days later. The pistol’s effective range is only 20–30 meters, while the distance between KRK’s bungalow and the building is 1,500 meters. So hypothetically and practically, this act could not have occurred,” she explained.

According to the Mumbai Police, KRK was initially taken into custody for questioning. Following this, he allegedly admitted to firing his licensed gun. He was subsequently sent to judicial custody for two weeks after being produced before the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.

KRK, known for his outspoken personality and social media antics, now finds himself at the center of yet another legal drama — but his supporters argue this latest case is more about procedural errors than criminal intent. While the legal proceedings continue, fans are closely following every update from the Oshiwara firing saga.
