Akshay Kumar grabbed headlines after the lively song launch event of Welcome To The Jungle in Mumbai, where the entire ensemble cast came together to celebrate the film’s latest musical release. The actor, known for his versatility and comic timing, found himself at the center of attention due to his recently viral Bhojpuri-style song Ghis Ghis Ghis, which has been trending across social media platforms.

During the media interaction, Akshay was asked whether the popularity of his Bhojpuri avatar has led to interest from Bhojpuri filmmakers. Responding with confidence, he said, “Well, the response would certainly be positive. If there’s a good song, a great scene, or a solid role, why wouldn't I do it? And regarding what you saw—Jacqueline saying ‘Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood’—who gave her that line? I was the one who gave it to her. You can ask her.”

He further added, “And that is the truth, because let me tell you something: Hollywood folks could never even conceive of a song like this. They wouldn't understand it; they’ve never seen songs like these. So, we can proudly say, ‘Man, we have such a rich culture.’ Our songs are created based on that culture. It’s about every culture...I won't get into the nitty-gritty details, but that’s simply how it is.”

Akshay also spoke about his preparation for the viral track, revealing, “Yes, before doing this song, I watched about 35 to 40 songs. That’s right.” His candid remarks added to the buzz around the film and his playful engagement with different cultural styles of music and performance.

Welcome To The Jungle is directed by Ahmed Khan and written by Neeraj Vora, with production by Firoz Nadiadwala, Rakesh Dang, and Vedant Vikaas Baali under Base Industries Group, Cape of Good Films, and Seeta Films. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, Jackie Shroff, and Paresh Rawal, making it one of the most star-studded comedy adventures in recent times.

The film is the third installment in the popular Welcome franchise, following Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015). Scheduled for release on 26 June 2026, the movie is already generating strong anticipation among fans, thanks to its massive cast and viral promotional content.
