Kareena Kapoor Khan recently shared her thoughts and experiences regarding her enduring passion for acting and her latest project, The Buckingham Murders during the trailer launch In Mumbai.
Talking about clocking 2 decades in film industry, Kareena Kapoor said, “I have grown up wanting to be on the big screen, wanting to act all my life, like I have always said, acting is coursing through my veins, I don’t know anything else, being in front of camera is something that I live for, it is my passion and I want to keep doing it, till I don’t know, forever.”
“The Buckingham Murders is a film very special to all of our hearts, because in this day and age, language doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter in what language you’re making a film, what you are making, that matters, that is what is important. I hope you all watch this film because we made it with a lot of heart” added Karrena.
After Udta Punjab, Crew and Veere Di Weddig, The Buckingham Murders marks the fourth collaboration of Kareena and Ektaa Kapoor and first with Hansal Mehta.
“I would like to thank first person actually is Ektaa Kapoor, who actually had the belief and guts to always stand by me and always say, okay this fine, we will do it together and whatever we have done, we have been super successful in it, and I am very confident this time also that we’re going to be successful. She truly has been the backbone” said Kareena praising Ektaa Kapoor.
“This film wouldn’t have been made without our captain, Hansal Mehta. The way he has shot the film and made me kind of feel the character, be the character, made me feel so comfortable, we made this film because this was something we wanted to do, we loved the story idea, we loved the script and I was like, we have to make this, and we made it happen” added Kareena about Hansal Mehta.
Produced by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shobha Kapoor, and Ekta Kapoor, 'The Buckingham Murders' is slated for a theatrical release on September 13, 2024.
