The fairytale romance that captivated a nation is heading to the small screen in dramatic fashion. FX has released the second official trailer for Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, the first installment in its new anthology series Love Story. Streaming on Hulu beginning February 12, 2026, the limited series is executive produced by Ryan Murphy and promises glamour, heartbreak, and intense media scrutiny.

Inspired by Elizabeth Beller’s book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, the series chronicles the whirlwind courtship and high-profile marriage between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Portrayed by Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon, the couple’s undeniable chemistry unfolds against a backdrop of relentless paparazzi attention and sky-high public expectations.

The trailer teases both the sparkle and the strain of their romance. He was often described as American royalty — the charming son of President John F. Kennedy — while she was a fiercely independent fashion insider who rose through the ranks at Calvin Klein to become a trusted confidante of its founder. As their love story became front-page news, the glare of fame threatened to fracture the intimacy they fought to protect.

The ensemble cast adds further depth to the narrative. Naomi Watts steps into the role of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, while Grace Gummer plays Caroline Kennedy. The series also features Leila George as Kelly Klein, Sydney Lemmon as Lauren Bessette, Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein, and a host of supporting talent including Omari K. Chancellor, Constance Zimmer, Erich Bergen, and Michael Nathanson.

Created by writer Connor Hines, known for his work on Space Force, the limited series brings together a team of seasoned writers and directors including Jesse Peretz, Anthony Hemingway, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Gillian Robespierre, and Max Winkler. Produced by Color Force, Ryan Murphy Television, 20th Television, and FXP, the project carries the polished, prestige-drama sheen audiences have come to expect from Murphy-backed ventures.

At its heart, Love Story isn’t just about celebrity — it’s about two people navigating love under impossible circumstances. The new trailer leans heavily into the emotional stakes, hinting at a sweeping, tragic romance that charts how private devotion became a national obsession. When it premieres this February, viewers can expect a stylish, poignant look at a relationship that defined an era — and the pressures that ultimately tested it.
