Apple TV+ has unveiled the first trailer for For All Mankind Season 5, set to premiere on Friday, March 27, 2026. The 10-episode season will debut with a single episode, followed by weekly releases every Friday through May 29. The latest season propels the story into the alternate 2010s, beginning around 2012, several years after the Goldilocks asteroid heist concluded in Season 4.
The narrative follows Happy Valley, now a sprawling Martian colony housing thousands of residents. As the colony flourishes, tensions mount between the settlers and Earth’s governments, who demand law and order on Mars. The stage is set for a full-scale “Mars vs. Earth” confrontation as the struggle for independence intensifies, promising high-stakes political and personal drama across the solar system.
Returning cast members include Joel Kinnaman as an 80-year-old Ed Baldwin, enhanced with prosthetics, alongside Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, and Wrenn Schmidt.
Season 5 also introduces new faces, including Mireille Enos, reuniting with Kinnaman from The Killing, and Sean Kaufman as the adult version of Alex, Ed’s grandson. Other newcomers include Costa Ronin (The Americans, Homeland), Ruby Cruz (Bottoms), and Ines Asserson (Royalteen), adding fresh dynamics to the established ensemble.
Beyond the season itself, Apple TV+ is expanding the universe with a spinoff series titled Star City, focusing on the Soviet space program within the same alternate timeline. This parallel storyline promises to deepen the political and technological intrigue of Sheridan’s alternate history, exploring global space competition from a new perspective.
Season five of For All Mankind continues to explore humanity’s push into the cosmos, blending scientific innovation, interplanetary politics, and personal drama. As Mars emerges as a thriving but contested frontier, fans can expect a gripping mix of adventure, suspense, and family dynamics, making this one of the most anticipated sci-fi releases of 2026.
