Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor took to social media to wish his “Armaan” co-star Preity Zinta a very happy birthday in the sweetest way. Sharing a couple of throwback pictures from the 2003 film on his Instagram Stories, Anil praised Preity for her energy and kindness, writing, “Happy Birthday, @realpz. Your kindness and energy make everything feel lighter.”
Adding a sporty twist to his message, Anil also extended his best wishes to Preity’s IPL team, Punjab Kings, for the upcoming IPL 2026 season, saying, “All the very best for IPL 2026, may this be your winning year.”
Directed by Honey Irani, Armaan featured an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Gracy Singh, and Randhir Kapoor. Set in a hospital, the film follows Dr. Akash (Anil Kapoor), who struggles to manage the institution’s finances, and Sonia (Preity Zinta), a mentally unstable woman who offers to help under one unusual condition — that Akash marries her.
Preity Zinta, who made her acting debut in 1998 with “Dil Se” opposite Shah Rukh Khan, has delivered several blockbuster performances over the years. Her iconic films include Soldier, Kya Kehna, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Koi… Mil Gaya, Veer-Zaara, Salaam Namaste, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, among others.
After taking a break from the screen, Preity is all set for a big comeback with “Lahore 1947”, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The period drama, set against the backdrop of the Partition of India, stars Sunny Deol as the lead, with Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh in supporting roles. The film is backed by none other than Aamir Khan, promising a cinematic spectacle.
