Ahead of its theatrical release, the makers of Ikkis hosted a special screening in Mumbai for the cast and their family members. The event saw the presence of several prominent film personalities who gathered to support Agastya Nanda’s upcoming big-screen outing, making it a memorable evening filled with warmth and encouragement.
Actor Akshay Kumar was among those spotted at the screening, arriving with his sister Alka Bhatia. The siblings were seen posing cheerfully for the media, reflecting their close bond. Akshay appeared relaxed and in high spirits as he extended his support to his niece Simar Bhatia, who also joined them at the venue. Simar is the daughter of Alka Bhatia, and her presence added a strong family touch to the evening.
Members of the Bachchan family were also present to show their support for Agastya Nanda. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Navya Naveli Nanda attended the screening, standing firmly behind Agastya as he prepares for another significant step in his acting journey. Ikkis marks Agastya Nanda’s debut on the big screen and is a special milestone for the Bachchan family.
The makers of Ikkis recently unveiled a new trailer that offers a glimpse into the film’s intense battlefield sequences. One of the standout moments from the trailer features Dharmendra’s character reflecting on the legacy of Arun, stating that he will “always be 21,” a line that has resonated strongly with viewers.
Agastya Nanda, who plays the onscreen son of Dharmendra’s character, became emotional during the film’s music launch. Speaking to the media at the time, he described the experience as deeply moving and called it a huge privilege to share screen space with the legendary actor. He also recalled how the late icon had worked with multiple generations of his family, making the collaboration even more meaningful for him.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is a war biopic based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The film features an ensemble cast including the late Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, and Rahul Dev. Initially slated for a December 25 release, Ikkis is now scheduled to hit theatres on January 1, 2026.
