Last evening, the Swadesh flagship store at Eros turned into a sparkling hub of glamour and culture as celebrities came together to celebrate India’s extraordinary artisans. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric—elegant displays of handwoven textiles, intricate miniature paintings, and vibrant traditional crafts set the stage for a night that honored India’s rich artistic legacy.
Among the attendees were Rajkumar Hirani and his wife, who mingled warmly with fellow guests, and Kunal Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, both looking effortlessly stylish. Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey, Gauni Khan, and Nandita Mahtani added a dose of high-fashion charm, making the evening feel like a seamless blend of couture and culture. The energy in the room was palpable, with everyone eager to meet the National Award-winning artisans being celebrated.
Nita Ambani, Founder–Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, took the spotlight to honour the talented artisans, calling them the “pride of India and the stars of tonight.” As we moved through the crowd, it was inspiring to see celebrities pausing to admire the craftsmanship, engaging with the artists, and sharing their appreciation for India’s creative heritage.
For those of us attending, it was more than a glamorous gathering—it was a reminder of the depth and beauty of Indian art. The evening highlighted not only the incredible skill of the artisans but also the importance of celebrating and supporting homegrown talent, all while enjoying a glittering night among India’s cultural and cinematic elite.
