During the launch of the song Paan Ki Dukaan in Mumbai, Shahid Kapoor opened up about performing the high-energy, mischievous dance number for the upcoming action thriller O’ Romeo.
Shahid said, “No one had to convince me to do this song, Paan Ki Dukaan. It was like, Vishal Bhardwaj played the song, and told me, just shoot the song tomorrow, and we shot it. I mean this song happened very spontaneously, and I think this song has a lot of fun and mischief wrapped in it, because the vibe of the song is such. Plus, I have been a dancer since I was fifteen, so when the song is this good, the feeling to dance comes from within, so the song is such, and I had fun dancing to this song.”
O’ Romeo, written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Vikrant Massey.
The film’s music, composed by Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics by Gulzar, has already seen several successful tracks, including Hum To Tere Hi Liye The, Aashiqon Ki Colony, and Ishq Ka Fever. The latest release, Paan Ki Dukaan, quickly went viral, captivating audiences with its infectious energy and playful choreography. Audio rights for the film are held by T-Series.
O’ Romeo is scheduled for a theatrical release on 13 February 2026, promising audiences a thrilling blend of action, drama, and high-voltage musical moments.
