The official trailer of Rajni Ki Baraat is finally out, and it promises a complete entertainer packed with comedy, romance, family drama, chaos, and even action-filled confrontations. Set against the colourful cultural backdrop of Bihar, the upcoming Hindi comedy-drama is already grabbing attention for its unique storyline and rooted small-town flavour. Directed by Aditya Aman, the film is slated to release in cinemas on May 29, 2026.
At the heart of the story is Rajni, played by Ulka Gupta, a fearless and independent young woman who refuses to let society decide her fate. When her boyfriend’s authoritarian and ego-driven father breaks off their relationship and arranges another marriage for his son, Rajni takes matters into her own hands. Instead of silently accepting heartbreak, she flips tradition on its head and decides to bring her own wedding baraat to marry the man she loves. The trailer showcases her fiery personality, emotional determination, and the madness that unfolds as family tensions explode.
The film blends humour with social commentary while exploring patriarchal mindsets in a refreshing and entertaining way. Packed with quirky one-liners, loud wedding celebrations, emotional confrontations, and heartland drama, the trailer gives audiences a glimpse into a vibrant world rooted deeply in Mithila culture. Shot extensively in Darbhanga, Bihar, the film also captures the authenticity of small-town India through real locations, local traditions, and grounded storytelling.
Apart from Ulka Gupta, the film also stars Ashwath Bhatt, Sunita Rajwar, Zarina Wahab, and Kanishk Vijay in pivotal roles. The supporting cast appears to bring equal amounts of humour and emotional weight to the story, making the film look like a wholesome family entertainer with a rebellious twist.
Produced by Tanaayaa Adarkar and Tej H Adarkar under the banner of Epiphany Entertainment, the film is being positioned as a youth-friendly entertainer with strong Gen Z appeal. Associate producer Mohsin Khan has also been actively promoting the project alongside the makers.
Social media reactions to the trailer have been largely positive, with viewers praising the fresh concept, rustic humour, and Ulka Gupta’s energetic screen presence. Many fans have especially loved the idea of a woman leading her own baraat, calling it both empowering and entertaining. With its mix of comedy, melodrama, romance, and social rebellion, Rajni Ki Baraat is shaping up to be one of the most unique small-town Bollywood releases of the season.
