The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has announced the launch of the CII Global M&E Investor Meet at the 12th BIG Picture Summit, scheduled for December 1–2, 2025, in Mumbai. This initiative, in collaboration with WAVES Bazaar, aims to unlock the full potential of India’s Media & Entertainment (M&E) sector by connecting companies with global and domestic investors to fuel the next wave of growth. The Investor Meet will feature curated one-on-one meetings, enabling international investors to explore opportunities in film, streaming, gaming, animation, VFX, live entertainment, and more.
Elara Capital has been named the Investment Partner, while Vitrina will serve as the Global Financing Partner. WAVES Bazaar, known for its B2B networking and project pitching, will integrate its project showcases and formats into the CII Marketplace during the summit. The BIG Picture Summit, themed “The AI Era: Bridging Creativity & Commerce,” is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, and will bring together industry pioneers, policymakers, investors, and creative leaders to chart the roadmap for the sector’s growth.
The summit will be chaired by Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, and Gaurav Banerjee, MD & CEO of Sony Pictures Network India, alongside Rajan Navani, CEO of Jet Synthesys, and Gunjan Soni, Country Managing Director of YouTube India. Shibashish Sarkar, Chairman of the CII Global M&E Investor Summit, emphasized that the initiative is a milestone for the industry, stating, “For the first time, we’re bringing global investors and Indian M&E enterprises together in a curated, one-on-one format. This summit is not just a generic expo but a true matchmaking event aimed at showcasing Indian companies as viable, exciting investments.”
Elara Capital’s MD, Harendra Kumar, said the partnership would drive synergies between the investor community and M&E corporates, while Atul Phadnis, CEO of Vitrina, highlighted the opportunity to spotlight India’s rapidly evolving M&E ecosystem on the global stage. In addition, WAVEX and WAVES Creatosphere will participate in the summit to foster startup collaboration and business growth, making the event a dynamic platform for investment, innovation, and co-production opportunities in India’s entertainment industry.
