Malayalam cinema icon Mohanlal has officially dropped the trailer of his much-anticipated film Patriot, creating a strong buzz among fans. Sharing the trailer on social media with the caption “Patriot Official Trailer,” the actor has set the stage for what promises to be an intense cinematic experience.
Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, Patriot is a gripping spy action thriller packed with powerful visuals, including high-intensity action sequences, gunfights, explosions, and a Delhi police backdrop that adds realism to the narrative.
The storyline revolves around a sophisticated software called “Periscope,” originally developed under a “Samaj Seva” initiative for military use. However, the system falls into the wrong hands as corrupt individuals begin using it to spy on civilians, severely compromising public privacy.
In the film, Mammootty plays a developer who goes underground to uncover the conspiracy behind the misuse of the software. As he digs deeper, he is pursued by a dangerous network of antagonists. Standing by his side is his ally, Colonel Rahim Naik, portrayed by Mohanlal, who joins forces with him in this high-stakes mission.
The film also stars Fahadh Faasil as the primary antagonist, bringing depth and intensity to the narrative. Supporting roles are played by Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy, making the ensemble cast even more compelling.
One of the biggest highlights of Patriot is the reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal after nearly two decades, a moment that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
