Actress, model, and former beauty queen Zoya Afroz believes that while the entertainment industry has made significant progress for women, the journey toward true equality is far from over. Speaking at the launch of X Blues Jeans Women's Collection, the actress shared her thoughts on evolving fashion trends, opportunities for women in cinema, her upcoming Netflix project, and reflected on her journey from child artist to leading lady.

When asked about the biggest positive change for women in the entertainment industry, Zoya acknowledged the progress made over the years but stressed that there is still much work left to do. She said, "I think changes have happened everywhere, but there is still a lot more to come—especially for women. You know, many opportunities have opened up, and rightly so, because we fought for them for so many years. Our ancestors and everyone in the past fought for our rights—for women's rights—and that’s why we can enjoy this freedom and these opportunities today. But there is still so much more work to be done. So, I think if every woman—or actually, every person—takes steps to ensure the right kind of opportunities for women, not only will women flourish, but society will flourish too." Her statement resonated with many, highlighting that gender equality is a collective responsibility rather than a challenge for women alone.

The actress also spoke about changing fashion trends and admitted that one style she is gradually moving away from is skinny jeans. However, she confessed that letting go of them completely won't be easy. "I think I’m kind of moving past the super-skinny jeans phase. But I still own a lot of them; I have loads and loads of them in my wardrobe. So, maybe I’ll eventually get over it," she said with a smile, adding a relatable touch to the conversation at the denim collection launch.

On the professional front, Zoya revealed that fans can look forward to seeing her on Netflix soon. Without revealing many details, she shared her excitement about the upcoming project, saying, "I’m very excited. As I mentioned, we’ve already announced a show coming to Netflix. I’m really excited about it." The actress has successfully transitioned into the OTT space in recent years, and audiences are eagerly waiting to see her in her next streaming venture.

Reflecting on her remarkable journey from being one of Bollywood's most loved child artists to establishing herself as an actress and beauty queen, Zoya was surprisingly content with how her life has unfolded. Asked what advice she would give to her younger self, she responded, "I actually wouldn’t want to give any advice, because I had the best childhood. I’ve truly lived my life. I’ve really enjoyed being on set, and I’ve learned from the best of the best—whether it was the set of Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Kuch Naa Kaho, or Sonapari. I’ve truly had a blast; I think it’s just perfect." Having started her career at a young age, Zoya has spent over two decades in the entertainment industry, evolving from a child artist into a successful actress, model, and international pageant winner.

Ending the interaction on a heartfelt note, Zoya shared a simple yet powerful message for her fans and audiences everywhere. "To the audience? Well, I’d just like to say: spread the love. Be kind, be nice to one another, and—yeah—live and let live." As she gears up for her next Netflix outing while continuing to advocate for greater opportunities for women, Zoya Afroz remains focused on using both her platform and her work to inspire positive change.
