Telugu cinema is getting ready to take audiences on a hilarious trip beyond the ordinary. UV Creations has unveiled the first look, title and release window of Sathibabu Paraloka Yatra, a new comedy entertainer starring Santosh Soban. Billed as Telugu cinema’s first multiverse comedy, the film promises to bring together quirky humour, parallel worlds and plenty of chaos when it arrives in December 2026.

The announcement came with an intriguing first-look poster that immediately plays into the film’s unusual concept. Santosh Soban is seen adjusting his glasses, with the lenses reflecting images of a church and a temple. The visual appears to offer a playful hint at the film’s “paraloka” or otherworldly setting while introducing audiences to a story that could jump between different realities.

Santosh Soban leads the film alongside Preethi and Maanasa Chou. The makers have positioned the project as a laugh riot, suggesting that the multiverse concept will be used as the backdrop for a distinctly entertaining and character-driven comedy rather than a conventional sci-fi adventure.

Behind the camera is director Lakshman K Krishna, who previously helmed the Telugu comedy-drama Swathimuthyam. His return to the genre has raised expectations for another light-hearted entertainer, this time with a far more unusual premise. The project comes from the makers of Couple Friendly, adding another comedy-focused title to their slate.

The film is presented by UV Creations and produced by AR Films, with the project being made as a bilingual film in Telugu and Tamil. The makers have reportedly envisioned it as a small-town comedy with a multiverse twist, potentially giving the story an interesting combination of familiar local characters and wildly unfamiliar circumstances.

The title itself, Sathibabu Paraloka Yatra, roughly evoking a journey into the afterlife or another realm, immediately signals that the film is not going to play by conventional comedy rules. The first look’s church-and-temple imagery further fuels curiosity about exactly how the different worlds or realities will factor into the story.

The supporting cast also includes popular comedian Vennela Kishore, whose presence adds another reason for comedy fans to keep an eye on the project. With a young lead, an experienced comedy performer and a director known for feel-good storytelling, the film appears to be aiming for an energetic theatrical entertainer.

Sathibabu Paraloka Yatra is scheduled to hit cinemas in December 2026. With its makers boldly calling it Telugu cinema’s first multiverse comedy, the film has already managed to stand out from the crowd even before its trailer arrives.

For Santosh Soban, the project adds another interesting title to his growing filmography, while for Telugu audiences, it promises a fun ride through multiple realities. If the first look is anything to go by, Sathibabu Paraloka Yatra could be bringing a very different kind of multiverse to the big screen — one where the biggest superpower is simply making audiences laugh.
