Rashmika Mandanna left fans concerned after sharing a heartfelt and detailed health update on social media late last night, revealing that she suffered a serious right hip injury while shooting for her upcoming film Mysaa. Explaining her recent absence from social media, the actress admitted that she had initially hoped to keep the injury private but eventually decided to open up about her recovery journey. Calling it her "third injury back-to-back," Rashmika also reflected on the importance of listening to her body after pushing herself too hard.
"Hie guyssss! Injuries suck.. and I was really hoping that no one will get to know.. but well, Sorry I’ve been MIA but hieeee! I’m hereeee! It happened awhile ago ya and this is my 3rd injury back to back... I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine.." Rashmika wrote, immediately reassuring fans that despite the setback, she is doing okay and staying positive.
The actress then went on to explain the nature of her injury in her trademark cheerful style. "But well umm the injury is basically.. ummm how do I explain it.. (make way for the biology teacher) so there are 4 tendons on each side of your hip that connects your hip to your leg and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached and that has to attach again, for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff.. and this happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa.. my god that’s the most aggressive film I’ve ever done for sure!" she shared. The revelation highlights just how physically demanding the film has been, with Rashmika describing Mysaa as the most aggressive project of her career.
Despite the painful injury, Rashmika maintained her optimistic outlook. "But don’t worry.. it hurts but it’s not unbearable or something.. so ya that’s that.. and I feel like this is god saying you’ll never take a break if it’s left to you so here.. let me do it for you! You know all these injuries I’ve had is random af - freak accidents what are the odds. Forced holiday - but hey not complaining at all!" she wrote, adding that she has embraced the unexpected downtime instead of dwelling on the setback.
The actress also gave fans a glimpse into how she's spending her recovery. Sharing pictures of herself smiling, a partially completed puzzle, delicious cookies, and what appears to be a fiery still from Mysaa, Rashmika joked that she's discovered a new talent for solving puzzles. "I’ve been doing a lot of puzzles - had no idea I were this good with them.. Really really trying not to put on weight cz well I workout and run like a beast which keeps me in a decent shape and now I won’t be able to workout or run for awhile and if I can’t workout then what do I doooo.. I eat.. and I become a dessert monster.. so uh hoooo!" she wrote, giving fans another dose of her signature humor even while recovering.
Rashmika ended her emotional note by promising to keep everyone updated while asking fans not to worry. "Well that’s about it.. what else did I miss.. nothing na.. if anything I’ll update soon. Love ya! Don’t worry ok.. Biggest loves and kisses and hugs!" she concluded. The post quickly drew an outpouring of love and well wishes from fans and industry colleagues, who praised her resilience and positive spirit.
While the injury has temporarily slowed one of Indian cinema's busiest stars, Rashmika's cheerful attitude suggests she'll be back stronger once she completes her recovery and returns to the sets of Mysaa.
