The wait for Prem Keetanu is getting more musical. Phars Film Co LLC has dropped a short promo for the upcoming film’s new song “Ishq Ka Ghulaam,” teasing an intense romantic track ahead of its full release on September 17. The song is expected to add another emotional layer to the coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
The 10-second promo keeps things dramatic, featuring striking poster art with a central male figure surrounded by a passionate crowd with raised hands. Accompanying the visuals is the soulful line, “Tum kya jaano, haye kasam se, aashiq toota hai kitni dafaa,” hinting at a heartbreak-heavy romantic number that could explore the more vulnerable side of the film’s love story.
“Ishq Ka Ghulaam” brings together a promising musical team. The song features music by B Praak, with lyrics credited to The Rish and Kunaal Verma, while singer Sukriti Kakar lends her vocals to the track. Given the emotional tone of the teaser, the song looks set to lean into the pain, passion and chaos that often accompany a complicated romance.
The song arrives ahead of the film’s theatrical release, giving audiences another glimpse into the world of Prem Keetanu. The film stars Veer Pahariya and Aafiya Sayed in the lead, with the story expected to blend romance, youthful relationships and the messy realities of growing up.
Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, Prem Keetanu is being produced by Gaurav Verma under Avanika Films, in association with Phars Films and Bhavana Studios. The project also marks Verma’s debut as an independent producer under his newly established banner, making the film an important milestone behind the scenes as well.
Prem Keetanu has also attracted considerable attention because it is widely reported to be the official Hindi remake of the 2024 Malayalam romantic comedy Premalu. The original film became a major success, winning audiences over with its youthful humour, relatable romance and charming characters. The Hindi adaptation will now attempt to bring that flavour to a new audience with a fresh cast and setting.
The film is scheduled to release worldwide on October 2, 2026, coinciding with the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. With “Ishq Ka Ghulaam” arriving on September 17, the makers are clearly stepping up the musical promotions as the release date approaches.
For now, the song promo has left audiences with a simple question — just how badly has this particular aashiq’s heart been broken? The answer could arrive when “Ishq Ka Ghulaam” drops on September 17, ahead of Prem Keetanu’s big-screen release.
