What began as a routine song release quickly spiraled into controversy, placing Nora Fatehi at the center of a heated debate. The dance number, initially promoted as part of the upcoming film KD The Devil, faced intense backlash shortly after its Hindi version dropped online, prompting swift action from the makers.

The track, titled Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, was released on March 14 as part of a multi-language rollout by KVN Productions. While the song featured Nora Fatehi alongside Sanjay Dutt, it didn’t take long for audiences to raise concerns, leading to widespread criticism and even a formal complaint submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification.

Amid the growing uproar, Nora Fatehi addressed the issue directly through a candid video statement. Clarifying her stance, she revealed that the visuals were originally shot nearly three years ago for a Kannada version of the song. She emphasized that she had no involvement in or knowledge of the Hindi adaptation, stating clearly that she neither performed for it nor granted permission for her image to be used in that version.

Her statement also highlighted her disappointment, as she urged fans to stop sharing the controversial track, noting that continued circulation only amplified its reach. At the same time, she expressed concern over personal attacks directed at her, calling such reactions unfortunate. The actor assured that she and her team would exercise greater caution in the future when dealing with similar situations.

Following the backlash and mounting pressure, the Hindi version of the song has now been taken down from digital platforms. Interestingly, while the Hindi track has been removed, other language versions—including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam—remain available, indicating that the controversy is largely tied to the Hindi adaptation.

This incident sheds light on the complexities of multi-language content in today’s film industry, where regional projects often undergo pan-India adaptations. It also underscores the importance of artist consent and transparency in an era where digital releases can go viral within hours. As the dust settles, the episode serves as a reminder of how quickly narratives can shift—and how crucial it is for creators and collaborators to stay aligned.
