Nitesh Tiwari Reflects On Seven-Year Journey As Ramayana Teaser Receives Warm Reception

Nitesh Tiwari, who recently graced the teaser launch of Ramayana Part 1, opened up about the immense journey behind bringing the ancient epic to life. Speaking to the audience, he said, "Personally it has taken me 7 years to get to this moment, filmmaking is very speculative and lonely process, every moment of these 7 years I have imagined this moment as to what will be the reaction when this finally comes out and today watching the reaction of you all, I guess, it was worth my 7 years, it has taken a lot of hard work from a lot of people, just to get here, and hoping that we will be loved in equal proportions from everyone that is all I can say, so thank you very much."
 
Ramayana: Part 1 marks the beginning of a massive two-part cinematic adaptation of the revered Indian epic. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 8, 2026, coinciding with the festive celebrations of Diwali, the film promises to be a landmark event in Indian cinema. Produced by Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Studios and DNEG, along with Yash of Monster Mind Creations, the project is one of the most expensive in Indian film history, with a reported budget reaching up to ₹4,000 crore for the series.
 
The film is specifically shot for IMAX and features cutting-edge visual effects handled by the Oscar-winning studio DNEG. The VFX-driven sequences are expected to deliver a cinematic experience on a global scale, combining mythological grandeur with modern filmmaking technology.
 
The ensemble cast brings together some of the biggest names in Indian cinema: Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, with narration by Amitabh Bachchan. Adding to the grandeur, the film features a historic musical collaboration between global legends Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman. Stunt sequences are coordinated by renowned action director Guy Norris, ensuring high-octane action sequences alongside the epic storytelling.
 
Ramayana: Part 1 represents the culmination of seven years of dedication, vision, and technical innovation, with Nitesh Tiwari emphasizing the emotional investment behind every frame. With its combination of star power, advanced visual effects, and musical brilliance, the film is poised to be a landmark cultural and cinematic event during Diwali 2026.
