Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter continues to expand his international footprint as he has officially been invited to serve as a jury member at the prestigious Biarritz Film Festival – Nouvelles Vagues 2026 in France. The announcement marks a major milestone in the young actor’s growing global career and places him among an elite group of international artists shaping conversations around contemporary cinema.
The fourth edition of the celebrated festival will be chaired by acclaimed American actress and filmmaker Kristen Stewart. Ishaan joins an impressive international jury lineup that includes Canadian actress Whitney Peak, French actor-director Raphaël Quenard, filmmaker Nathan Ambrosioni, actress Suzy Bemba, Italian director Carolina Cavalli, and British actress Esme Creed-Miles. With this achievement, Ishaan Khatter becomes the only Indian actor selected for this year’s jury panel.
Dedicated to celebrating emerging voices and younger generations in cinema, the Biarritz Film Festival – Nouvelles Vagues has rapidly earned recognition as one of Europe’s most exciting platforms for fresh storytelling and contemporary filmmaking. The festival is scheduled to take place from June 23 to June 28, 2026, in the picturesque seaside city of Biarritz in southern France.
Ishaan’s invitation comes during a particularly successful phase in his career. The actor has been receiving strong appreciation for his recent projects, including Homebound and The Royals, both of which helped showcase his versatility and screen presence. Adding to his growing list of international achievements, Ishaan was also recently featured on the prestigious Gold House Gold 100 list, becoming the only Indian male actor included in this year’s lineup.
On the work front, Ishaan Khatter is preparing for the release of his upcoming comic entertainer Jugaadu. Earlier this month, the actor unveiled his first look from the film on Instagram and expressed excitement about stepping into a fun-filled new space. “Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for #JUGAADU – My first in and as! Cooking with an incredible and passionate team to bring you this riot of an entertainer in cinemas soon,” Ishaan wrote in his post.
The film also marks an important crossover moment as popular Punjabi actress Tania makes her Hindi film debut with Jugaadu. The project features a strong ensemble cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Jameel Khan, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Yamini Dass, Sukhwinder Chahal, and veteran actress Nirmal Rishi.
Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, and Jaya Taurani under the banners of Baweja Studios and Tips Films, Jugaadu officially began production with a mahurat ceremony held in Mumbai on April 30, 2026. The first shooting schedule is expected to commence in Punjab later this month.
With his growing international recognition, critically appreciated performances, and exciting upcoming projects, Ishaan Khatter is steadily carving a unique space for himself not just in Bollywood, but on the global entertainment stage as well.
