The filmmaker joined creators Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, along with the series' star-studded cast, at the trailer launch event in Mumbai, where he reflected on the emotional experience of making the show.

During the media interaction, Oni Sen was asked how he was feeling now that the series was ready to be shared with audiences, and whether any part of the filmmaking journey stood out to him the most.
Responding candidly, Oni Sen admitted that watching the completed series for the final time left him deeply emotional. "Ah, last night—I think around two in the morning—we were watching all the episodes that are set to be released, and I found myself thinking, 'It's actually over.' It's overwhelming. I think 'overwhelming' is the only word that fits. It's emotional because the reason I decided to venture into this project wasn't about the scale or the war drama—though that is exciting—but rather about the emotions of the people."
The director went on to explain that while Operation Safed Sagar features large-scale aerial combat and the backdrop of the Kargil War, the real heart of the story lies in the people behind the uniforms. "It's about the people—which is what I think Abhijit and Kushal were discussing—how real they are, how they are just like us, and yet they are superheroes; they are amazing. I'm just grateful that I had the opportunity to tell their stories. Thank you for trusting us to do that."
