Farhan Akhtar marked a major milestone as Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara completed 15 years since its release. The actor, producer, and one of the film's lead stars took to social media to celebrate the beloved coming-of-age drama that first hit theatres on July 15, 2011. Even after a decade and a half, the film continues to be celebrated for its themes of friendship, self-discovery, and embracing life without fear.

Sharing a special anniversary poster, Farhan wrote, "15 years. Still seizing the day. Celebrating #15YearsOfZindagiNaMilegiDobara”

The nostalgic collage featured some of the film's most unforgettable moments, including the scenic road trip across Spain, the iconic skydiving sequence, and memorable snapshots of Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin. Directed by Zoya Akhtar and written by Reema Kagti and Zoya, the film struck a chord with audiences through its heartfelt storytelling, stunning visuals, and timeless soundtrack by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Over the years, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has evolved from being a box-office success into a modern Bollywood classic.

Farhan's anniversary post quickly reignited conversations among fans, many of whom expressed their desire to see the film return to theatres for a re-release. Others went a step further, hoping for a sequel that would reunite the beloved trio of Arjun, Kabir, and Imran for another unforgettable journey. The film's enduring popularity continues to make it one of the most requested titles for a second chapter.

Interestingly, Farhan Akhtar had previously announced Jee Le Zaraa, a female-led road-trip film envisioned as the spiritual counterpart to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The project was set to star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif, generating enormous excitement when it was first announced. However, the film remains officially on hold and has been indefinitely delayed due to persistent scheduling conflicts involving its high-profile cast.

Addressing the status of Jee Le Zaraa, Farhan Akhtar has clarified that the project has not been shelved. Instead, he confirmed that it has been placed on the "back burner" until the schedules of the lead actors align. While there is no official timeline for production, the filmmaker has maintained that the film is very much alive. As Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara celebrates 15 years of inspiring audiences to seize the day, fans continue to hope that both a theatrical re-release and Jee Le Zaraa will eventually become a reality.
