Netflix has unveiled the main trailer for Vladimir, an intense erotic thriller blended with campus dark comedy, and it’s already sparking conversation. Starring Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall, the limited series explores seduction, obsession, and the dangerous fallout when fantasy collides with reality. Set to premiere globally on March 5, 2026, Vladimir promises a bold, psychologically charged story wrapped in razor-sharp wit and unsettling desire.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Julia May Jonas—who also created and co-wrote the series—the show centers on a passionate yet reckless professor (Rachel Weisz) whose carefully constructed world begins to unravel. When she becomes dangerously fixated on her magnetic new colleague, Vladimir (Leo Woodall), her obsession spirals into dark, humorous, and increasingly complicated territory. What begins as intellectual intrigue morphs into an all-consuming fixation, blurring the lines between power, seduction, and self-destruction.

The trailer teases a tone that is both provocative and satirical, combining erotic tension with biting commentary on academia, ego, and midlife longing. As boundaries blur and secrets simmer beneath polished faculty meetings and campus events, the protagonist risks everything to bring her most scandalous fantasies to life. The series leans into its morally complex characters, inviting viewers to question sympathy and judgment in equal measure.

Joining Weisz and Woodall is a strong supporting cast that includes John Slattery, Jessica Henwick, Ellen Robertson, and others. The series is written by Julia May Jonas alongside Kate Robin, with episodes directed by Francesca Gregorini, Shari Springer Berman, Josephine Bornebusch, and Robert Pulcini. Produced by 20th Television, Vladimir is executive produced by Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg, and Kira Carstensen (Merman), Jason Winer and Jon Radler (Small Dog Picture Company), as well as Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini—bringing together an impressive creative lineup behind the scenes.

Streaming worldwide on March 5, 2026, Vladimir is poised to ignite debates about obsession, power, and the consequences of crossing emotional lines.
