Playback sensations Sonu Nigam and Javed Ali came together for rehearsals ahead of the landmark 25th edition of Khazana – The Festival of Ghazals, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated musical events of the year. The Silver Jubilee edition of the iconic festival will be held in Mumbai, bringing together some of India's finest musical talents while continuing its long-standing mission of supporting underprivileged cancer patients and children living with thalassaemia.
Founded by the late ghazal legend and Padma Bhushan awardee Pankaj Udhas, Khazana has evolved into one of India's most respected musical charity festivals. For the past 25 years, the event has combined the magic of ghazals with a noble cause, raising funds for the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) and the Parent's Association Thalassemic Unit Trust (PATUT). Every performance at the festival contributes towards providing medical care and treatment for those in need.
The rehearsal featuring Sonu Nigam and Javed Ali offered a glimpse of the soulful evening audiences can expect. Both singers, known for their expressive voices and remarkable versatility, appeared fully immersed in preparations, fine-tuning their performances for the grand celebration. Apart from Sonu Nigam and Javed Ali, the Silver Jubilee edition will feature an impressive lineup of acclaimed artists, including Anup Jalota, Hariharan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rekha Bhardwaj, Sudeep Banerji, Madhubanti Bagchi, Sunil Mungee, Aleena Bharti, Tejas Gambhir, and guest artist Nihira Joshi. The event will be hosted by Anup Soni and Rakshanda Khan, adding to the grandeur of the celebrations.
