Shraddha Kapoor proved once again that she’s not just a stellar performer but also a quick-witted queen during the trailer launch of Thamma, the next spooky-laugh-out-loud chapter in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe. While addressing the crowd in Mumbai, the actress found herself at the center of a hilarious exchange when an enthusiastic fan shouted, “I love you, Shraddha!” Without missing a beat, the Stree star fired back, “Oh really, you’re saying it this openly, do you know who my dad is?”—a sly nod to her legendary father, Shakti Kapoor, known for his iconic villain roles.
The laughter didn’t stop there. When asked about the most important person in her life, Shraddha gave a heartfelt answer: “In our lives, I guess the most important person is our mothers.” But the same fan wasn’t done yet—shouting again that Shraddha was the most important person in his life. What came next was nothing short of gold: channeling her inner Shakti Kapoor, Shraddha delivered his iconic line, “Aapko pata hain naa, aankhe nikaal ke…”—sending the audience into fits of laughter and earning a roar of applause.
The event, buzzing with excitement, was held to promote Thamma, the fifth film in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and penned by the writing trio Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Falara, the film promises to carry forward the legacy of fan favorites like Stree, Roohi, and Munjya. With a star-studded cast featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal, the film is already one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
With music by hitmakers Sachin–Jigar and a release timed perfectly for Diwali on October 21, 2025, Thamma is poised to be the festive blockbuster that gives audiences chills and chuckles. And if Shraddha Kapoor’s press event banter is any indication, we’re in for a truly entertaining ride—on and off the screen.
